New Smart Home Strategy Connects All-scenario Household Appliances
SHANGHAI, Mar. 14th, 2018 -- Haier, the world’s No.1 appliance brand, has unveiled an innovative all-scenario Smart Home Solution (the “Solution”) and demonstrated three service platforms at the 2018 Appliances & Electronics World Expo (2018 AWE). These new products will allow users around the world to customize smart home solutions that best suit their unique needs.
Centered around the four most important physical spaces in the home – living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom – and providing seven comprehensive solutions –air, water, clothes care, security, voice control, health and information – which can all be set based on an individual user’s needs – the “N” factor – Haier’s new “4+7+N” concept is the first user-centered, customizable smart home solution in the industry.

Haier has applied the Solution to revolutionary products across 10 categories that cover important appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners, allowing customers to purchase all the appliances they need in one trip.
All of Haier’s household appliances have been designed on Haier’s upgraded 3D cloud design platform, which provides a variety of styles to choose from. Customers can experience and purchase the Solution and related household appliances through all available sales channels including Haier’s 30,000 stores. The company will map out 6,000 smart home experience centers in 2018 as well as create online experience centers on ShunGuang and other e-commerce platforms.

On December 6, 2017, the New Standards Committee (NesCom) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) passed a proposal from Haier to draft a general requirements standard for large-scale customization, the first Chinese company to do so in the history of the IEEE.
