The latest in this XCOR Space Expedition collection is the 45.50mm Pilot Professional Analog Digital (5241.XS). Housed in brushed titanium, this new timepiece is perfect for space – light enough to not be a concern during takeoff and landing, and rugged enough to withstand the stresses of space travel.

The Analog display of the Pilot Professional gives pilots time at a glance and the digital windows offer the precision they require. In addition, the new Pilot Professional offers a second time zone/GMT function, necessary for aviation and space flight, as all timing is done based on UTC/GMT

“Pilots need digital time to synchronize their operations and accurate timing down to the second is of great importance. They also travel a lot and the GMT function enables them to easily reference local or destination time zones.” says Harry van Hulten, Founding Partner/Experimental Test Pilot at XCOR Space Expeditions.

In 2015, XCOR Aerospace, the manufacturer of the XCOR Lynx spaceship, will be carrying out their first test flights within the atmosphere. Training sessions and tests for passenger flights are currently under way. For $100,000 passengers will be able to enjoy a unique view of the earth from 103 kilometers.

The new Pilot Professional is designed for serious astronauts and pilots, and it is as home in Space as it is on Terra Firma.
