BALL UP ANNOUNCES 2014 SUMMER TOUR SCHEDULE, INCLUDING $100,000 “SEARCH FOR THE NEXT” COMPETITION

The world’s leading streetball brand to visit major cities throughout the country, taking on the top local players at each tour stop; the best player at each stop earns a chance to win a contract worth $100,000 and a spot on the Ball Up roster

LOS ANGELES, CA, JULY 10, 2014 / PR Newswire / — Ball Up, the leading streetball brand in the world and home to the most legendary names in the game, announced its 2014 summer tour schedule, which will visit major cities around the country and will conclude with one new player discovered during the tour winning a spot on the roster and a contract worth $100,000.

The Ball Up national streetball tour invites the best players from cities across the country to compete against the very best in streetball, including streetball legends: The Professor, Bone Collector, AO, Sik Wit It and Air Up There, among others. A tryout will take place on game day in each local tour city, with 10 players being selected to compete against the undefeated Ball Up All-Stars later that night in front of a capacity crowd.

Two MVPs from each city will be invited to participate in a two-day combine camp in which 10 finalists will be selected to play against the Ball Up All-Stars in a championship game in Las Vegas. The selected players will be chosen by the Ball Up judges, which includes the guest NBA coach participating in the weekend’s game. NBA players, past and present that have participated in previous Ball Up events include: James Harden, Derek Fisher, Julius “Dr. J.” Erving, Allen Iverson, Dennis Rodman, Tracy McGrady, Matt Barnes, Rick Fox, DeMar Derozan, Rafer “Skip To My Lou” Alston and Eric Bledsoe to name a few.
