The IPC is designed to discover the most innovative, impactful imagery captured by photographers who seek to meet PPA’s “12 Elements of a Merit Image” gold standard. The competition’s categories include: portrait, illustrative, wedding, commercial, album and master artist.

“If it weren’t for the coaching I received at IPC, I doubt that I would be where I am today with the level of my photography art,” said Richard Sturdevant, M.Photog., M.Artist.CR., and IPC’s 2013 first place winner in the Illustrative category. “I’m in a constant state of learning, and IPC gives me a bar that I can measure my success against the best in the world.”

“The IPC experience drives me to raise the level of my photography to the next level and grow my business,” said Randy Van Duinen, Cr.Photog., CPP, and the IPC’s 2013 first place winner in the Commercial category. “Getting first place was one of the most incredible achievements in my professional life. This was my second year entering, and I will keep on competing as I have learned much from the judges’ critiques.”

With the addition of live streaming, PPA members and non-members can witness pivotal moments as the competition unfolds. Judging runs from August 4-7 at Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Live streaming will be accessible at no charge on desktop devices at Stream.TheIPC.org from 8:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EDT each day.
