NATIONAL CAMPAIGN LAUNCHES ONLINE PLEDGE IN HONOR OF ASTHMA AWARENESS MONTH

Pledge to Raise Funding to Send Deserving Children with Asthma to Summer Camps Across the U.S.

Vienna, Virginia, May 6, 2014 ⁄ PRNewswire ⁄ – Know Your Count – a national campaign aimed at raising awareness of the seriousness of asthma and educating patients and caregivers about the importance of keeping track of the remaining doses in their rescue inhalers – announced today the launch of a new online pledge for asthma awareness. Nearly seven million children in the United States are living with asthma, a chronic and potentially life–threatening disease of the lungs. In honor of Asthma Awareness Month, people living with asthma, along with their friends, family members and caregivers, are encouraged to visit www.KnowYourCount.com to take the “Asthma Pledge.” For every pledge that is made, Teva Respiratory will donate $1 to the Consortium on Children's Asthma Camps in an effort to provide children with asthma the opportunity to participate in fun and educational summer experiences across the country.
