USG Employees, Customers and Vendors Raise Funds to Send Family of U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Player Rico Roman to Sochi
CHICAGO — March 5, 2014 — Rico Roman is a U.S. Army veteran, Purple Heart recipient, and a loving husband and father whose family will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see him compete for gold at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.
USG Corporation (NYSE: USG) and its national building products distribution subsidiary L&W Supply, a sponsor of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams and the Canadian Olympic Team, raised funds to send Roman’s wife and two children, ages 9 and 11, to Sochi to see him compete. L&W Supply matched every dollar donated by employees, customers, vendors and the public.
